Event Details
The Destructo Tour is a 3-city conference & event tour across South Louisiana, starting in Lafayette then to Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The doors open at 5:30 PM and the event starts at 6 PM.
The purpose of these events is to raise awareness of the use of Social Media for businesses of all kinds, dispel myths and show how Social Media can be fun and effective for business, and to benefit community based non-profit organizations.
In each city, we'll have a Social Media conference with a panel of speakers. The headline speaker is weblebrity/social media superstar from Tampa, FL, Amber Osborne a.k.a. "Miss Destructo" (www.missdestructo.com). The week before this tour, Amber will be in Austin, TX as a panelist at SXSW, the largest media/music conference in North America (www.sxsw.com).

Ticket sales will benefit local, community based non-profit organizations in each city. These non-profits will be invited to attend the conference to learn how to use Social Media tools to help accomplish their goals. They will also be given the opportunity to present their organization at the conference.

is a talented writer, an avid traveler, a philanthropist when he gets
the chance, an entrepreneur at times, and one heck of a good guy. He is

which chronicles his culinary and indulgent cultural experiences as he
eats and drinks in South Louisiana and around the world. Jay's writing
has been featured in Town Favorites Magazine and on the website Dine and
Cook. He can currently be found as a freelance writer for 225 Magazine (www.225batonrouge.com). Mr. Ducote serves the chairman on the charter board of directors for the Baton Rouge Social Media Association (www.brsocme.com)

potential visitors through blogs and new media. He served five seasons
as the Public Address Announcer for the LSU Soccer team, including
